Meat Lovin' Night at Meatslut!

Image
After my brother's college graduation, we headed out to look for a place where we can feed almost 10 hungry people.  Our original plan was to visit the Carnival food park in Marikina, but my mom suddenly mentioned how much she wanted to eat some ribs. And my darling husband quipped on how he missed eating ribs and that it was a pretty good idea. That's when my brother opened up the idea of going to Meatslut in Lilac Street, Marikina. You know, Lilac Street has become a popular food hive where restaurants, food stands, and independent food places suddenly appear out of nowhere. This "diner-esque" signage will greet your rumbling tummy! Upon entering the restaurant, their retro sign caught my attention. Underneath it said, "Being Vegan Ain't That Fun", which was appropriate with the name of the place. You wouldn't name a place "Meatslut" and expect vegans to enjoy it there, right? (They do have mashed potatoes but my family hated it, ...

Pizza Hut: PANALO PIZZA PROMO

Image
There are days when you just want to order a ton of food, eat and then feel a sense of post-eating satisfaction. Today is one of those days, and I had an irrevocable desire to eat one of my favorite comfort foods- pizza. Pizza is like a complete meal. First, you get carbs through the crust and cheese. Yes, you read that right. Their prices range from Php59 to Php159.  I tried it myself to see i...

Threadfest 2016

In the past 5 years, I haven't been really active in attending gigs or concerts due to the crude relationship rules my ex-boyfriend has implemented in our relationship. After breaking up with him this year, I made a vow to attend and expose myself to the so-called "punk rock" scene again by going to gigs as much as I can allow myself to. Last November 19, 2016, Threadfest 2016 was held in Metro Manila. Previously, I think it was held in Cebu. When I heard they were holding it within the confines of MNL at B-Side Collective, Makati- I was ecstatic! Not only do I get to see all the local merch in one location but I also get to rock out with the local OPM talents. They had two types of tickets: Php500 and Php250. The Php500 comes with a free t-shirt and lanyard while the latter only comes with a free lanyard. L and I got the Php250 ones because who am I kidding? I bet the shirt sizes are tiny and I'm a big girl with a big boy. (Ok, that sentence was a bit off...
